This is part 3 of our multi-part series that includes the steps of our kitchen fire restoration services.
In part 1 we diagnosed the damage, performed some test cleaning and determined the approach.
In part 2 we removed the contents, transported items to our cleaning facility in Springfield and performed hands on cleaning restoration of the home.
Next, we begin restoring the main contents of the home.
The Restoring Of Main Contents
Since the main impacted area of this fire resided within the kitchen, it was the only area within the home that required any construction related repairs.
The first step in this process was to scrape the ceiling texture down to the sheetrock where a new textured layer could be applied.
The next step required preparation to restore the cabinets. A protective plastic barrier was used to prevent any dust from escaping the working environment.
From there, the cabinet restoration process was conducted.
To give you a better idea of the finished product, here’s a before image of the damaged area in it’s initial impacted condition.
Here’s the after image of the restored area.
As with all of our fire restoration services, we are committed to renewing your home and it’s contents back to like new condition.
Working With Your Insurance Company For Claim Info
When devastation occurs, many homeowners can initially become overwhelmed by assuming they will need to track and report their losses.
One of the benefits with our services is we work directly with your insurance carrier to provide them with all of the necessary details they require.
This leaves you, as the homeowner, free from any worry.
A couple of examples include the following…
We measure all components of the household that have been damaged.
(this is required by most carriers)
We also log all details that they require of us in our reports.
Working directly with your insurance company is just one more of the many benefits we provide when helping you get your life back on track.
The Final Step – Thermal Fogging
Once we’ve cleaned and restored the entire home, our last and final step is to ensure that not even the smallest of odors remain.
We accomplish this by thermal fogging the home. This is an application that is designed to breakdown any remaining proteins that cause the bulk of the odors.
